YOU APPROVE. YOU PUBLISH.

Terms of Service

EFFECTIVE 6 AUGUST 2026

1. What this is

The Signal asks you one question a day and uses your answers to write your marketing. Software agents draft the work; you approve it; approved work publishes to the channels you have connected.

By using The Signal you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

2. You are the publisher

This is the most important clause here, so it is near the top.

Everything The Signal writes is a draft. Nothing publishes until you approve it. When you approve something, you are publishing it — under your name, to your audience, on your account.

Which means:

You are responsible for what you approve being accurate. We build only from facts you have given us, and every claim can be traced to its source. But you know your business and we do not. Read it before you approve it.

You are responsible for it being lawful. Advertising standards, professional conduct rules, financial promotion rules, health claims, testimonial rules — these differ by industry and by country, and complying with them is yours.

You are responsible for other people in it. If a draft mentions a client, you decide whether that gets published.

We are not your publisher, your agency, or your compliance check. We are a tool you write with.

3. What we do not promise

We do not promise results. Not leads, not enquiries, not revenue, not reach, not followers. Marketing does not work that way, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something else.

The Marketing Dependency Index is a measurement, not a promise. It measures how much of your marketing no longer needs you. It does not predict or guarantee commercial outcomes. It can go up as well as down.

We do not promise the platforms will cooperate. LinkedIn, Meta and X change their rules and their interfaces without warning. If a channel stops working we will tell you, but we cannot control it.

We do not promise the AI is perfect. Our Editor rejects work it judges weak or unsourced, and our Archivist blocks any claim it cannot trace to something you told us. Those are strong safeguards. They are not infallible — which is exactly why you approve everything.

4. What we do promise

Nothing publishes without your approval. Permanently. That is not a trial limitation, it is how the product is built.

We will not invent facts about your business. Our agents can only build on what you have told us, and every claim carries its source.

We will not copy your competitors. We map how their funnel is structured. We never store or reproduce their words.

Your Brain exports and deletes in full, at any time, by you.

We will not sell your data, or use it to train AI models.

5. Your content is yours

You own everything you put in and everything we produce for you — your answers, your uploads, your facts, your drafts, your published posts.

You give us a licence to process that material for the sole purpose of running the service for you. The licence ends when you delete your data.

We own the software, the agents, the question library and the method. You are licensed to use it — not to resell it or rebuild it.

6. What you may not do

  • Publish anything unlawful, defamatory, or infringing someone's rights
  • Upload material you have no right to, including confidential documents belonging to someone else
  • Impersonate anyone
  • Use it to produce content for a business you have no authority over
  • Try to extract the underlying prompts, or resell the output as your own tool
  • Work around rate limits, or automate abuse of the service

We may suspend an account for a serious or repeated breach. Where it is practical to do so, we will warn you first.

7. Money

AU$297 per month, billed monthly in advance through Stripe.

The first week is free. A card is required to begin, but nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged at all.

Cancelling is one button in Account, at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Export your Brain before the 30-day window closes.

Refunds. We do not refund part-months. But if something on our side stopped the service working, tell us and we will make it right. That is a commitment, not a loophole.

Price changes come with 30 days' notice by email. If you disagree, cancel before it takes effect.

A failed payment pauses your account and we tell you. Nothing is deleted for 30 days.

8. The channels you connect

Connecting LinkedIn, Meta or X means agreeing to their terms as well as ours. They can suspend or restrict your account for reasons we neither control nor see.

A post you approved and we published is still subject to that platform's rules. If they remove it, or penalise your account, that is between you and them.

Some channels require a paid API tier on their side. We will tell you before you connect.

9. Availability

We aim for continuous availability and cannot guarantee it. Maintenance happens, providers have outages, platforms change. No uptime guarantee is offered at this price.

10. Liability

So far as the law allows:

The service is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost business or lost goodwill. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including under the Australian Consumer Law, where you may have guarantees these terms cannot remove.

11. Ending it

You may cancel at any time.

We may end it with 30 days' notice for any reason, or immediately for a serious breach. If we end it without cause, we refund the unused portion.

Either way, your export stays available for 30 days.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction.

Nothing in this clause removes the protection of consumer law in your own country where that law cannot be excluded by agreement. Australian customers keep their rights under the Australian Consumer Law regardless of this clause.

13. Changes

We will give 14 days' notice by email before any material change. Continuing to use The Signal after that means you accept it.
